PORT DOUGLAS & MOSSMAN GAZETTE

Port Douglas was founded on mining and timber. Mossman thrives on sugar cane farming. Two different places, but connected by one common thread – tourism. From Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas, to the Mossman Gorge within the Daintree National Park, this area is a haven for thousands of tourists from all over the world. It takes a special kind of publication to bridge the different needs of both locals and visitors, and here it is – the Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette.

Published every Thursday, the Gazette is an eye-catching full-colour publication that delivers your marketing message with confidence and style. Every issue has just the right balance of important local news, information and classifieds, blended with in-depth coverage of all the entertainment, events and shopping that will appeal to a broader readership. The Gazette’s continued success is all down to ‘listening’. Successful newspapers listen to their readers, and the Gazette commits two dedicated pages in every issue to ‘Letters to the Editor’ – these pages also feature ‘Your Say’ – a popular local forum. Over and above the regular issues of the Gazette – a number of special publications enable advertisers to add some extra punch to their media planning.

Another initiative, developed as a joint publishing venture with The Australian newspaper, Discover Paradise gives advertisers exposure to consumers in inner-city Melbourne, at a time when they may be planning a Queensland holiday. The Port Douglas Phonebook is a once-a-year publication showcasing local businesses and services in the region. Two places, Port Douglas and Mossman. One publication – the Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette. It’s highly-targeted, highly effective, and highly-regarded by its readers.
